How did they get to be the preferred partner for so many residential renovations in our region?
Michelle is a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. It has become the basis for her success as the designer in the business. Michelle is an expert not only in design, but how to assist people to develop the vision for their homes. Instead of telling you what you need, she listens to learn where you are at this point and what your budget will be so she can recommend the best ideas and design for you and your home. Stuart is a graduate of VMI with a bachelor’s degree in economics and holds an MBA from Old Dominion University. He applies business logic and processes to be the best project manager you will find for your new home construction or renovation, and treats each project, whether it is a stairway, or a home built on your lot, with the quality that he would expect for his own family.
Starting a family-owned business was not their anticipated careers, but when they returned home from Oklahoma in 2000, the builder on the lot they owned was about to charge them way more than he should. Michelle’s dad said, “Build it yourself.” They did and have never stopped building since.
Besides working, Michelle and Stuart love to spend time with their children, Conner who is an 18-year-old licensed real estate agent majoring in chemistry at ODU and Lauren Alexis who is studying pre-med at CNU where she is also in the President’s Leadership Program. Spending time with their families and friends is a passion, especially outdoors…from golf to the pool or just hanging out playing cards.
